David Undercoffler from The LA Times has reviewed the 2013 Lexus LS 460 F SPORT, praising the “timely and well-chosen design updates inside and out” and calling the car “a well-executed mid-life adjustment”.
For the first time in its history, German magazine Autobild has named a Lexus as the top model in a comparison, with the GS 450h beating out the BMW ActiveHybrid 5 and Infiniti M35h in a hybrid showdown.
Two weeks after Motor Trend named the Lexus GS 350 F Sport the best midsize V6 luxury sedan, the magazine has now crowned the GS 450h as the top hybrid sports sedan available, beating the Porsche Panamera Hybrid & Infiniti M35h.
Ron Kiino over at Motor Trend chose a 2013 Lexus GS 350 F Sport to take his wife to Santa Barbara for their fifth wedding anniversary, and came away with a new appreciation for the Lexus performance brand.
Car & Driver has published a dual-review of the 2013 Lexus GS 350 AWD & GS 350 F Sport, and found both models to have “character that no GS—and perhaps no Lexus besides the $380,000 LFA supercar—has exhibited before.”
To prove how much the new GS has improved, and show how it stacks up to the competition, Lexus invited Automobile Magazine & Motor Trend to do some independent testing of the GS 350 F Sport against the BMW 535i and Mercedes E350 Sport.
The mechanical improvements made to the 2011 Lexus IS F continue to impress in 2012, with the latest review from Motor Trend calling the super-sedan “a legitimate mauler of Munich’s (and Stuttgart’s) current best”.
