To be fair, they actually liked the gearbox, they just took off a point because in the manual mode you need to push the shifter up to up shift and down to downshift which they consider to be backwards. Other than that they actually like the 8 speed gearbox as well.

So that is even better news for us Lexus fans! If you don't take that "nitpick" point into account the IS should score an even 73/100 just like the 3 series and the ATS.

I don't get why that's wrong. It makes sense. I hate cars that work the other way around.

"What you need to do, if you care about performance at all, is get the 350. It may be a carryover engine, and it may lack the turbos of some rivals, but it's a blast to use. Lexus says it will do zero to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, but it feels quicker than that, and it feels underrated at 306 horsepower — more like 330 or so, according to the butt dyno. Burying the accelerator pedal gives you a nice, satisfying blast of acceleration that will put you at extralegal speeds in no time. " Hahahaaa exactly how I feel about the IS350 !!

so this 3.5l is a quick beast, remember the 335 only beat this engine because it got two small turbos. lexus can just supercharge this engine and call it ISF

I have driven both and I wouldn't say the 335i is faster. http://m.youtube.com/watch?gl=AU&hl=en&client=mv-google&v=aqzUihLhH14
