Yeah Industry Pool at Nurburgring is specifically for OEMs (and aftermarket OEMs) to test cars equipment. FWIW, the ISF could be testing something as simple as a telemetry device that they didn't necessarily need a new car to test who knows.

Do they still need to be testing at the ring, considering their ultra secretive, purpose built, mountain testing grounds exists?

I want to see how many of Best Car's rumours this time around turn out to be true lol 🤪, every time they post a rumour they get absolutely trashed to sh*t on the Japanese side of the internet.

Plates. The red lettering and the plates starting with DAU is a Toyota plate, and always has been.

Look up every single Toyota test car in Germany, they have this.

Also, why would a private car have a big-ass antenna towards the back? 😂😂
According to the German plate decoder, DAU is Daun; what Toyota facility is based there? Most of the Toyota EU press fleet have a "K" plate, which is Köln/Cologne where TGR Europe is located.

Hopefully Lexus puts the 3SC on the GA-L platform since the LC will fade into the sunset. Lexus needs to drop a V8 in the LS to bring it back to life. Bring the next generation IS onto the GA-L platform as well (current IS & RC still uses N platform). Also bring back the next generation GS as well!

Crown sedean (S230) and Mirai also use the GA-L platform as well.
But next-gen IS on GA-L got cancelled alongside the GS, which led us to getting the 2nd facelift in 2021. I don't see us getting another ICE IS realistically, beyond a 3rd facelift. I'd love to be proven wrong by Lexus.

Isn't the Japan Mobility Show about to take place this year? Lexus seems pretty quiet at the moment.

I'm still very skeptical about the future of GA-L and ICE RWD products at Lexus beyond the LFR.
Land Cruiser SE & EPU pickup truck are on revised GA-L. The LF-ZC/ZL are RWD. 4IS has been confirmed and it's all but confirmed the 6LS is in the works too.
