• Parker Thompson and Ben Barnicoat in the No. 89 Vasser Sullivan Lexus won by 1.449 seconds over Robby Foley and Patrick Gallagher in the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3.
• The race celebrated 1989—the year that Lexus came to the United States.
• The No. 89 was an amalgamation of the Vasser Sullivan team’s two-car Lexus team that is normally split between the GTD and GTD Pro classes—GTD Pro did not race at Long Beach this year.

Toyota/Lexus won in every single series they competed in this weekend. A total global lockout by Toyota/Lexus.

WEC is getting ridiculous with BoP setups. Are they now favoring each manufacturer depending on a track they race at? This year at Spa Toyota car will be 21kg heavier than it was last year, while Ferrari will be "only" 14kg heavier.

I don't even bother to watch WEC anymore, it's now just a shitshow for normies to enjoy. I swear so many racing series just seems to become less and less enjoyable for actual car and motorsport fans to watch with every big change to their respective rulesets. Also, WRC's points system right now is beyond retarded, to put it simply.
