If Lexus Racing is dead, then so is Lexus performance as a whole. The brand is a joke now. How sad that Genesis can produce more models in ten years of existence than Lexus can in 30. Sad. Just plain sad. RIP Lexus. and a big F*CK YOU to Akio.

It's like infrastructure, it's a lot easier to make something from nothing than maintain and update it to modern standards. Just ask Infiniti. Or more recently, Tesla.

Toyota isn't doing the best with GR right now either from the perspective of launching it as a new brand but it seems they didn't even decide on making that as a spinoff until very recently after yoinking and rebadging the LFR from Lexus.

RCF is not dead afterall. Looks like they are going to do something new to the RCF GT3 as its life has been extended by 2 years due to the delays to the GR GT3.

At least, it seems to be getting kept alive in the racing version, but without a street car, not sure how they are going to get over the homologation requirements for some production cars to be made available to customers.

They can give the RCF a new no-spindle front bumper and the new IS interior and extend production like for the IS.

If you are involved with Lexus Racing and have connections to TMC, can you PLEASE for the LOVE OF GOD tell them to also keep Lexus Racing around and get them to build a Lexus twin to GRGT and GT3. They can release the electric LFA if they want, but for the love of god, we need Hybrid performance F vehicles.

Yeah looks like it. GR will still brand it though I think. It may just be called GR RC.

The F is very important. RC would imply it is a regular RC. RCF is almost a completely different car underneath so if it ends up happening, it will be a GR RCF I take.

Right yes that is what I meant, just like the LFA Gazoo Racing (in my pfp). Lexus Racing (now Gazoo Racing) put out a statement saying theres nothing to worry about on the insta. I call bullshit.

That post was ridiculous. They got butthurt by all the hate they got, so they tried to calm Lexus fans down, but it just made things worse. People are going off in the comments (myself included).

Anyways, nice knowing y'all! With all this Lexus BS change, the brand won't have anything to be an "enthusiast" about anymore. RIP Lexus Racing. RIP Lexus F. RIP Lexus.

Yup same. I don't really have history with the brand (im still in highschool afterall) other than the fact that my parents have a new RX350h on the way. When I go to college, my first car will probably be a Camry Hybrid, and ive grown up with Toyotas all my life.

Audi-Porsche (VW group overall) is looking likely IF Audi gets their act together and develops sportscars and better interiors. From concept c, they have atleast gotten the latter half right. My parents' dream car is a porsche. I guess that also helps. Mercedes and BMW are both also attractive prospects though.

If anyone wants to be pissed off today too, they posted this. Look at the collaborators: Gazoo Racing AND Toyota Racing. Tell me why tf does Toyota and Gazoo get their own racing divisions and pages and the Lexus Racing had to become Gazoo's? Why can't Lexus have its own? NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE. I have never loved a brand so much and quickly became one of its biggest haters. I actually hate Lexus and Toyota right now. Mostly hate Gazoo Racing crap. Stupid name too.
