Price is ok. It just is a waste to not have a TTV8 LF-1 CUV or Landcruiser SE with this TT V8. Also, the good thing is this car exist. I hope it is good in its own way, but it is no LFA, so it better not be called that. And given the Lexus F brand, it add nothing to Lexus being badged a Lexus instead of Toyota. It would be better if it a Lexus of course.

This was also the reason why I was adamant it would remain a Lexus, aside from the other sources as well.

However as @Gecko mentioned, Toyota HQ in Japan have practically told Lexus and Toyota North America to pound sand whenever they wanted to engineer new products and develop new powertrains, and now, it seems like Japan has assumed full power.

So, if they're being this stubborn and outright refuse Lexus or Toyota North America from building the products they and the people want, what is stopping Toyota HQ from naming it a Toyota GR GT3?

To me it feels like Toyota still reserves the best for themselves, treating us (Lexus fans) as an afterthought. I haven't lost all hope just yet but if they keep making moves like this......I might seriously consider switching brands.

Depends on how you define the best...

The Lexus Electrified Sports supercar will definitely be quicker in a straight line.

The LC-F prototype that weighed almost 2 tons and has "only" 650PS was rumored to do the Ring in 7min10s, I think the GR GT will be at least as quick as the AMG GT Black Series.

Rental car brands like Ford and Chevy can have supercars and no one bats an eyelid, but TMC having a supercar under the Toyota brand is lame and not ok? Some of y'all are mad and salty beyond reason.

I mean not just because this car has a Toyota badge on the front, I think it’s more about the fact that this car was originally planned to be a Lexus, and now suddenly it’s been changed to GR. This is hard for many to accept. Also, many Lexus fans here have been following rumors/news about this car and eagerly awaiting its release as LFA successor for last 3-4 years.

It’s going to be under the GR brand without a Toyota badge but sold in Toyota showrooms I suppose.

Lexus needs to ditch F for RR.

These supercars have decades of legacy and thus a strong customer base. The last Toyota branded supercar was the 2000GT.

If they sell it as a Lexus, in the worst case scenario they get current RC-F TE, LC500, and LFA owners as returning customers, and plenty of LX owners who want to add a sports car too. Asian owners who have a LM as well.

Outside of Japan, how many Toyota VIP customers are there?

Toyota benchmarking against a company owned amg gtr?

Also social media seems to be abuzz about how this is Toyota putting on a masterclass of properly making a hybrid supercar unlike the f80.
