Anyone else notice the flush fitting LC500 door handles?

Or, the new CHR door handles:

“Our spies have once again caught up with a street-legal Lexus LFR prototype, this time putting it through its paces on the Nürburgring Nordschleife before being spotted cruising much more sedately on nearby public roads.“

What if I told you they were samsung handles.
Most of the Ecus come with low level code come from out sourced suppliers. Final tweaking is done in house, and essentially toyota are still playing in somebody elses software sandbox.

I dont think this vehicle will launch Arene, toyota's new ground up, in house software stack. However, stress testing the platform on a high performance, one of one/unique development platform might be in the bingo cards.

“The yellow warning stickers on the prototype confirm it as an electrified model, and according to our photographer the car upon start up drives for the first few feet on electric power alone before the gas engine kicks in.”

Getting so many mixed signals about this car lol.

It's just like every other Toyota and Lexus hybrid. This is nothing unexpected.

Is it possible that this car will still carry the Lexus badge? This 2023 article quotes Toyota Racing Development (TRD) president David Wilson, saying, “At the moment, it seems to be. It depends on how it develops within Toyota, but at the moment, yes.” In March of the same year, I know that an LFA owner was invited to Toyota’s headquarters to attend an event, where he was clearly informed that the new Lexus sports car lineup includes the GT3 race car, the homologation road car, and an all-electric sports car. I remember he also mentioned that Toyota’s headquarters in Japan had even sent specialists to the event. So I’m thinking it’s unlikely that within a year, this car would go from being confirmed under the Lexus brand to being released under Toyota.

I bet you if it wears a Lexus badge its because customers and Lexus USA have communicated they'll go ballistic otherwise.

This was also the reason why I was adamant it would remain a Lexus, aside from the other sources as well.

However as @Gecko mentioned, Toyota HQ in Japan have practically told Lexus and Toyota North America to pound sand whenever they wanted to engineer new products and develop new powertrains, and now, it seems like Japan has assumed full power.

So, if they're being this stubborn and outright refuse Lexus or Toyota North America from building the products they and the people want, what is stopping Toyota HQ from naming it a Toyota GR GT3?
