Funny, 285 rear tire on a 20 inch wheel... Isn’t this the actual tire size on the M3/C63?

It's pretty close, yeah. And the other two make a solid ~200 more horsepower and ~200 lb-ft of torque too. Must be pretty grippy for the IS which should make it pretty fun around the bends.

I was thinking a different way... Why would Lexus retool that rear casting if the IS don’t need it? Everything points out for a more powerful IS... The wider track, the GS/RC bigger front casting that happens to have the 5L V8 F variant, now the rear wheel space...

Yet these idiots think being secretive is going to make people interested......

See and that's been my problem with Lexus lately! They still are secretive as ever but all the stuff they are coming out with (we think) some other company already has it! LF1 or faster IS or whatever Lexus you are already behind! Show the car and put it for sale the next day cause across the board the competition is ahead and our models look worse and worse as the days go by! I am blown away by the IS that it is doing so well I did go to the mall the other day and they have them and it does look so good! But really no 500 or F wtf lol

Major upgrades to hospitality are. Utterly superb. I worked with Lexus Racing to get enthusiasts together. This is the first Lexus corral at this race af Daytona International Speedway!

I’ve such a weak spot for every Lexus sedan in red, they’re truly amazing 👏
And this current LS combined with F Sport package is gorgeous!

Hell of a read and touches on the next GT3 car!

I’m heading down to SEBRING tomorrow with the LC and IS. I cannot wait to share this weekend with you with Lexus Racing.

Not joking, save this thread.....

That is good news. I could indicate that even if LS and LC are not successful and Lexus wishes to stop them, RC and IS might continue, and next RC might get even more focused. Hope they don't make it heavy for the convertible and then don't do it. Either light or make the convertible.

What are they revealing?

“What we’re hearing from our colleagues in Japan is giving me that same level of confidence, because behind the scenes, the product is following,” he said. “Getting a little glimpse into the future of the product plans for Lexus, I’m thrilled. There is product coming that will be very well suited for a GT3 category; a very natural fit for global GT3 racing. More than the RC F.

“Collectively, we learned a big lesson with RC F, because the genesis for the RC F racing and GT3 was not well founded. Way too far down the process, someone said, ‘Well, maybe we should race it.’ What landed in our lap was really a car that was not a natural GT3 car.

What's better suited than RCF? Either purpose built next generation RCF or LCF?
