RX for sure...kinda struck me how closely it resembles to the BEV reveal photo. Love the low hoodline especially.

edit: looks like it was being tested nearby TMC factories? At clip 3:08, an LC500 quickly passed by, then at 3:24, it was trailing along the current facelifted RX. 99.9% the new RX.

Hey Lexus,
I know you read these forums. Designing cars with a front overhang 2x the length of the rear overhang is really ugly and you should probably stop.

Thanks.
And very soon the crown is gonna be in the same boat

I think partially the reason why is because the clip was taken at slight off angle + long hood line, giving it the sense of long front overhang? And keep in mind the RX is riding on FWD platform, therefore it is to be expected with such proportions.

And with overhang that long there will be zero excuse for not having a frunk on the RZ.

With modern platforms and packaging, FWD is no excuse for bad proportions anymore. Remember that the next RX is also 99% likely going 4cylinder-only, meaning less mass and size to plan around for the front end... so there is really no excuse at all.

FWD-biased AWD platform:

Even Toyota's own GA-K siblings can be designed with short overhangs...

This is so bad that it looks like Honda products... and yet the rear overhang is tidy and short.

SMH. It is strictly lazy engineering by Lexus.

We are a month out from the official RX launch. Part of the RX rollout is to flood said media with vehicles outside the testing facility and lucky photographers to have their cameras out.

I think it looks quite stunning and almost like a render I came across a couple months ago (not the bloated RXL take).

Im predicting here that the interior capacity is going to remain the same, but the overall foot print is going to become smaller.

Its seems the ETGNA vehicles soften the curves when they get derived from their TGNA original

I believe it's the camera angle giving you illusion...I'll show you an example of current RX with same angle shot...you get the idea

Plus it was really just a pedestrian footage not showing its best quality...I would wait until its official release to give final judgement.

The current RX also has a brutal front overhang, but I do certainly hope it is different and better in person or for production.

A prototype of the next-generation Lexus RX has been spotted in Japan — here’s video of the camouflaged mule driving on public roads:

For simplicity’s sake, let’s pull out some screenshots to look at:

Despite the optical-illusion wrap, there are clear parallels between this prototype and the rendering shown during Toyota’s massive multi-model reveal late last year...
