The one thing about the V35A that Lexus still needs to fix regardless of the application is the turbo lag. It's still very noticeable. Under 2,000 RPMs, the turbo lag makes the car feel sluggish if you're looking for power off the line.
It's also important the new crawl control software knows how much throttle to apply because it needs to build up boost. The 5.7 could basically just crawl at idle because the naturally aspirated engine always has usable torque. Without boost the V35A will have less torque than the 2GR on the Tacoma. So if they don't fix turbo lag crawl control will be much worse than before.

i did not read any crawl control complaints with V8 diesel, so i don't thin the new TTV6 diesel/gasoline will be a problem.

Since that 10AT gearbox uses a torque converter, it will also help to build up revs and further multiply that low-end torque.

Oop. What happened?

Notice there is an E-Mail and an IP address in this photo.

Basically, what happened was that the owner of this Toyota dealership, Joe Craig, leaked all of the images to Reddit and Facebook. The Reddit guys tried to tell him what he was doing was wrong and it looks like this leak chiefly came from Facebook users who couldn't keep a secret that Craig asked them to keep.

I believe that Toyota's tweet which uses a tone of exasperation is in reference to Craig leaking the photos. I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota punishes him by disassociating with his dealership or doing something else.

They might mess with his allocation, not that its great these days

Those giant wheel arches allow some serious lift and tire upgrades, unlike the J300 which again suffers from small wheel arches like the J200. America still gets a great truck!

Wheel arches have been the Achilles heel of LC150 and LC200, and they didn't address this with LC300!

good to see toyota trying to do something different with the tail lights. Knowing how limited the options a truck tail light design can be.

quite the contrary i think. new LC will fit great 35" wheels. i am looking forward to arctic trucks modifications. they'll have done as soon as they get the new LC300, if they are not already working on it.

it is also beneficial for Toyota, showing modification potential will increase buyers interest/commitment.

Hmmmm....Have to see it in person but primarily going off of the C & D official Toyota photo....That front end just has a lot going on....Like they gave the 4Runner some silicone injections in certain areas to "enhance" some bulges. Just looks very busy and not sure about that grille.

Sure, refresh could soften it a bit but agree that'll take another decade at least even for a minor facelift moving at Toyota speed.

Based on initial impression of appearance alone, I'm much less excited than I was months ago. More importantly, I want to see what they do to address their vastly outdated cabin tech as well as bring ride comfort up to par with new F150 and Ram. While keeping the Tundra as far and away the most reliable full-size truck.

As long as engines are good in Tundra, this will sell really well. Can it do steady 100% increase in sales? Or 50%? But it will be more.
I dont remember how much was production capacity lifted, but they started working on that in 2018
