After trademarking the LC F nameplate in Europe, Lexus has followed suit in the USA — what’s more, a graphic mark was included in the submission:
Purely for fun, let’s use the current F brand models as a potential timeline for the LC F:
- RC F trademarks were filed in January 2013 , one year before its introduction at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
- The GS F was trademarked in March 2013 , but it took two years before the model debuted at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show .
While the pattern suggests a high-performance LC will debut at the Detroit Auto Show, there’s no telling which year. If you’re placing bets, do you take 2018 or 2019?
(For completion’s sake, the LC F trademark was filed at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office on February 7th under #87327008.)
