Google Makes Improvements to Self-Driving Lexus RX 450h

Google has made some significant improvements to their self-driving car, which just so happens to be a Lexus RX 450h:

The level of intelligence and capability of these Google vehicles is astounding — very easy to see a future where self-driving cars make up the majority of vehicles on the road.

(Worth pointing out that Lexus is also working on an autonomous driving vehicle of their own.)

Although I appreciate the serious safety issues self-driving cars will address, the pleasure of driving will sadly be a thing of the past. Today, we see the S-class is already nearly autonomous. It's just a matter of a handful more car generations for this to be commonplace and the norm. The manual transmission is on its death bed, and the death of man driving the automobile car is next. Let's enjoy driving while we still can!
