I guess that Toyota has not resolved the RAV4 Prime's battery shortage, so it will also affect supply of the NX 450h+.

That may also explain why Lexus has not announced any other PHEV models.

numbers are still relatively low, but they did sell 3000 in USA in June, plus they started sales in Europe this quarter as well.
Those numbers are above their targets.

With them selling 2m+ hybrids around the world last year, i assume they just dont want to lose too much money with Primes anyway.

The ChDM NX400h+ was not confirmed in the press release even though there's a trademark for it. The ChDM RAV4/Wildlander PHV both offer a 2WD trim with 194kW/260hp which is about right for a '400h+' model. So the only difference between 400h+ and 450h+ would be removal of E-Four.

Not sure why they will show NX350 for ChDM since the take rate will be almost zero...

Not to get too picky, but it's actually NX 350h, NX 400h and NX 450h+. Space after the model designation. ;) lol

With NX400h+ confirmed it's amazing how well the transverse platform E-AWD strategy has worked out for Toyota/Lexus. They have offered five different powertrain options (and a potentially sixth) out of a single ICE design:

250: petrol, FWD/AWD
300h: hybrid+medium motor/battery, FWD/E-Four
350h: hybrid+large motor/battery, E-Four
400h+: plug-in hybrid+large motor, FWD
450h+: plug-in hybrid+large motor, E-Four
And in the future potentially 500h/500h+ with E-Axle.

By combining the A25 ICE with different hybrid components they could freely configure powertrains with different output and price range. Previously it would require 3 different ICE designs for the same range of options. No other manufacturer is able to do the same but many are moving towards this direction.
