Did they run into the problem of the car lacking in performance like during the development of the LFA again?

Well the latest scoop from Japan suggests this is true. The body structure was defective and it took 2 years to fix that.

I have a ton to post! Working with the team on showcasing the 2026 IS for the first time in public and hosting a cars & coffee with Lexus Racing USA on Sunday. My friend John
brought out LFA 403 and talked about it. I also chat with GR Cup winner Westin Workman and Richard Hollingsworth from Lexus Product Marketing. Sunday was a great time with people coming from Alabama, the Carolinas and Florida. Two from
Pennsylvania flew in!

Really odd. RCF was finally killed off now that homologation requirements did not require a street car for the RCF GT3 racing car, but now they did an about face and extending the RCF GT3 for another season.

How will Lexus get around the IMSA homologation requirements now? Will they be able to get an exemption for 1 season for no road car being produced or they will bring RCF back for like a limited 30 unit edition of RCF just so that they could be allowed to race?

How is it a good thing when they have zero product to sell? Motorsport programs exist to sell cars. There's no more RC. There's no more F. A manufacturer's title means nothing when customers walk into showrooms finding no car to buy.

I'm strictly talking about motorsports and winning championships, but you're right about Lexus as a business.
