Looks like a third row in there.

I dont suppose the rear is a split hatch... probably wishful thinking

Look at how nice the lines are. Look at them.

That c pillar crease...

The line coming down off the outside of the taillight is interesting. I wonder is that for design or function of some sort? I also don't think it's a split hatch but something is going on there. LC300 and LX600 have different looks along that would be split hatch line

The upward swoosh on the belt line is interesting. At first I thought it was on the rear quarter glass, but it’s actually on the rear doors.

The little triangle thing on the corner of the hatch glass is interesting. I wonder what the purpose of that is? Maybe it’s a hinge structural component for side hinge door or split hatch? It’s odd. There’s obviously a reason for it

I believe that is just the seam between the rear fender and the filler (metal or plastic) under the taillight. On sedans, that filler under the taillight is part of (one piece with) the plastic rear bumper cover.

Something just jumped out to me in the picture below the third row the vehicle next to the Tacoma that we all taught was going to be the FJ Cruiser what if that was hint to the GX? Look at the line from the rear window how it goes up Just like the GX teaser picturedownload.jpg

The mini cruiser concept is a preview of multiple models fused together: the "retro-style" LCP/GX, the Stout compact truck (and possibly SUV derived from it) and the IMV EV truck for SEA.

Getting exciting!

I've started daydreaming about the fun part: the numbers. Things to consider:
-Current GX460 is 301hp/329lb ft/5100lbs, 15/19 mpg.
-Current Tundra SR 4x4 is 348hp/405lb ft/5400lbs, 17/23 mpg.
-Tundra 1794 4x4 is 389hp/479lb ft/5800lbs, 17/22 mpg.
-LX600 dropped 440lbs from the LX570 IIRC. Mpg went up from 12/16 in the final year of the 570 to 17/22 now.
-GX will be going from 6spd to 10spd transmission.

Even with the SR tune(+47hp, +76lb ft), the GX550 should perform pretty well. 18-20/23-25 mpg and under 5000 lbs would be pretty compelling IMO. 0-60 in the mid to high 6's I'd guess
Give it the Tundra tune(+88hp, +150lb ft) and it might turn out to actually be quick. The LX600 does 0-60 at about 6.1 at 5700 lbs. GX might match it. Don't know how much the blocky design will affect the drag.

Still absolutely loving the 22 F-150 Platinum. Massaging seats all day.

But few on this forum have been as vocal regarding their love affair with the GX as I have been. Like Scarface, it is pulling me back in. Lexus, please don't let me down, I'll show up with a brick of cash and a tip if you knock this out of the park.

Quoting the Beatles: "Don't Let Me Down"

Please, Lexus/TMC, don't let me down with this GX.

The nomenclature aspect, has me expecting more than that. 550 against RX 500h, having less hp? I don't believe it. I understand it might be the case with LS 500 and LC 500, but maybe not with other SUVs.

Hey, I'm totally with you on that, but I'm just tempering my expectations. As you mentioned, we don't fully know how they're treating SUV nomenclature now, as previous gen was based off displacement size. If they're doing 'number denotes output of equivalent engine size', then you should proven very much correct.

I would think they'd want to keep a larger performance gap than the LX at 409hp and the GX at 389hp. Previous gen was 301hp vs 383hp.
Now the rumored MY25 LX refresh might have them massage that 409hp to the ~430 range, with the 700h pushing 500hp, thus creating more room for each model to breathe
