The reveal of the other "Crowns" completely killed my excitement/interest in this one, and I don't dislike it. But the sedan/GS is the most intriguing. Wonder what they did to the interior. I had not noticed Mirai had individual rear seats, unlike the LS.

Also wondering what the sports is? Really a BEV?

And now the TMC has revealed a further iteration of RWD platform, it looks like it is here to stay until a clearer market case exists.

The Crown and Mark X (and GS) were basically the same cars on 2850 mm wheelbase. Mark X was discontinued together with GS, both being on old platform and being updated to 15th gen Crown platform also used by Mirai II. Does the Crown 16th gen go worldwide as a replacement for Lexus GS and Toyota Reiz (Mark X)?

To many questions: does the Crown sedan get V6TT, or only I4THybrid? We saw this platfrom go from NA V8 to NA V6 Hybrid now to FI I4 Hybrid, all to maintain performance (~350 PS) and simultaneously decrease fuel consumption.

Holy cow, these are fantastic! I hope those other models make it to the US, especially the sedan. I’m more excited about those three other models than the SUV/hatchback thingy that has already been announced for the US.

Is the gold Crown an EV? There isn’t much of a grill on it.

No liftback? No PHEV? I was hoping for both. And the same dour, low-rent black interior (I really detest that interior colour).

To me, this means the Crown is no more appealing than the Camry.

Here have a link hiding in Toyota Japan HP.... it reveal dimension of other 3 type of 16th Gen. Crown and have some designer&engineer interview. Thank for @shizhi discover and telling me this hiding website.
SPORT L:4710mm W:1880mm H:1560mm with 2770mm wheelbase.
ESTATE L:4930mm W:1880mm H:1560mm with 2850mm wheelbase.
SEDAN L:5030mm W:1890mm H:1470mm with 3000mm wheelbase.

the SPORT one are bigger than NX/RAV4/Harrier in all dimension but still smaller than new RX
the ESTATE one just little bit longer than new RX on length, but shorter than RX, a little narrower than RX.
the SEDAN are much wider than last gen Crown and 2nd gen Mirai, it seem also bigger than GS?
all these 3 type official said will coming next year(another page at toyotime.jp said will in the next year and a half)

So the Crown Sedan has 8 cm longer wheelbase than Mirai 2, overhangs are the same. It has 12.5 cm shorter wheelbase than LS 5, 15 cm longer wheelbase than GS. It will be sized approximately like LS 4.

I now really wonder what engines the sedan gets. Imagine it being slower than the lifted FWD version.

What is the possibility of a next-gen GS with that Crown sedan platform? What if the whole reason for the previous gen being cancelled and turned into Mirai was the early platform being too compromised 🤔
