Lexus RC 200t Trademark Registered in Australia

Lexus RC 200t Coupe

Lexus has registered RC 200t as a trademark in Australia, fueling speculation that the new coupe will be offered with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The RC 200t was registered on August 12, 2013 under trademark #1574017.

Lexus has previously registered trademarks for RC 350 & RC F — with the addition of the RC 200t, three of the four engine options suggested in a recent Motor Trend article have been accounted for.

The 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine was first announced in October 2012:

Starting 2014, [Toyota] plans to launch a vehicle with a new 2.0-liter, turbo-charged AR engine, also based on the 2.5-liter AR gasoline engine. The new engine’s smaller displacement will provide higher fuel efficiency while the turbocharger will improve output.

    Yes please ! More small-displacement forced-induction engine ! 2.0-liter Turbo reminds me of 3S-GTE !

I wish there’d be an RC 450h to fill the price and performance gap between the 300h and F-model in Europe where we probably won’t get the 350.

3AR-FTE the engine name could be?

Awesome now its complete i am just wishing the option of a Manual transmission is available for either the RC200t ,RC350 or RC F.

would make a lot of sence for Europe.

In the UK, arsey means moody. As in behaving like an arse. The US equivalent is ass, I think? Can I drive an arsey Lexus?

AHHHHH Toyota and Turbos mets again… <3

This would be a fantastic car, just imagine ! But I am afraid that we can just keep on dreaming: as long as hybrid is not the main option for other regions, the small European market won’t get enough sales units for such a model to convince Lexus to produce this one… :-(
