That is pure dictatorship, Putin and Kim Jong-un are kindergarten players compared to the tyranny currently happening in Western civilization.

PS: I like neither Tesla nor Musk.

As someone that has a lot of connections to that area of the world, I was told that it was because they didn't want to have rioters coming in and vandalizing the show. There are going to be a lot of expensive cars at VIAS (multiple Veyrons, SSC Tuatara, McLaren Senna/P1, Ferrari Icona cars... etc.) given that last year's show was such a record setter DESPITE there being much less exotics than say... in the mid-2010's. So the organizers have asked Tesla to leave multiple times then ultimately forced them out after they refused. They generally have a big booth at VIAS and they get a lot of attention from buyers. The only other guys that get similar attention are Toyota and the supercars/racecars/sports cars that are there.

You're right, it is downright dictatorial and the outrage is pretty large online. On X and on Instagram there are a ton of angry commenters saying that they'll boycott the show because many of them came there for the sole purpose of test driving Tesla EVs and comparing them to other EVs. The funny part? No refunds. LOL. In response the Instagram page are hiding the negative comments.

Everything that happens in BC is a kneejerk reaction to what the Federal government wants or tries to be anti-US at every turn. The Premier of BC disallowed Tesla owners from getting rebates, and there are a lot of Tesla owners in BC. I'd wager BC has the highest registrations of Teslas in Canada with ON and QC right on its tail.

Ultimately this is going to be a huge stain on the event because they kowtowed to a bunch of braindead terrorist protestors. Nuance with these people is dead, and they'll be shamed for it for the rest of their lives. I know a few that wanted to test drive the new 3 and the CyberTruck and do a head to head with other EVs there but now they can't. It's the show's loss.

Thanks. Your explanation does legitimate the security and safety concerns.

How is it and why is it dictatorial for an autoshow to want to ensure the safety and security of its event and venue, and its customers and workers?

It isn't.

Nobody should believe anything said by a fan of Elon.
For those people lying isn't a problem, it's "savvy".

This isn't new. Fascistic incels and reprobates always act this way.

Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

It is not dictatorial, in this case.

@CRSKTN

What does your does Jew hate have to do with the whole story?

In what way will vandalizing Teslas help bring Musk to court to be judge?

Will be funny to see Tesla go bankrupt before Toyota. Imagine all the former Tesla fans…., Regardless of them changing opinion now, fact is they were wrong, yet so vehemently believed to be right in their predictions.

They cowered under pressure. The reason why they asked Tesla to leave is because of rioters, not because Tesla themselves are a threat. It's tyranny of the minority. People wanted to go test drive the Cybertruck/3/Y against the competitors and there was outrage.

They could have increased security and nothing else would have happened, but this was the easier decision for them, deriding consumers their freedom of choice. The show advertises that they could drive whatever they want from that lineup that they offer, and interest was lost when Tesla was booted, and they can't even get refunds.

It isn't.

You're delusional as hell LOL. Keep calling everyone you disagree with fascistic incels and reprobates and let's see how that turns out for you. Antisemitism? You're talking to-, never mind I'm not going to dox myself, you're categorically insane.

Also it's very disgusting rhetoric to assume that people you disagree with... want to lie because it's "savvy". Just like how you tried to whitewash what's going on to discredit the experiences of mine and many others that I know (like say the financial state of Canada). So I guess lying is also not a problem for you either... and unlike you I keep people that disagree with me in my own circle, not block them like you blocked me lol.

You are what you say you want to destroy.

Enough with your antics.

Nothing, and Musk is someone that has repeatedly sided with Jews on God knows how many occasions. It's a straw-man because they have nothing. He confuses Musk with Kanye West.

I am no Tesla fan, I just don't like EVs period, but neither Tesla or Toyota are going anywhere. Tesla could stop making cars tomorrow and make a ton of money on the electric charging infrastructure they have built thus far. The Tesla charging lots here are packed, and not just with Teslas but with every EV that uses the same plug. They have done an incredible job with the charging infrastructure, it impresses me far more than their cars.

It's just the reality. Whatever you think of Musk, Tesla being the trendsetter it was for electric mobility and electric solutions in the 21st century is something that cannot be ignored. Where I live, for every hater there's many more people that buy Teslas because they're uhhh... status symbols. I don't particularly get Teslas as a status symbol but Asians and affluent White people love to buy them in droves. I guess it is similar to how Toyota has commandeered a level of cachet that say... Hyundai does not have.

I sat in a new Model Y and I was genuinely blown away by how much better it is than the old one, although, time will tell if they're still poorly built haha. I will say though, I absolutely do not like how everything is on the screen, I felt like a total caveman trying to operate the damned thing. Perhaps I'll get used to it, sure, but I love my Toyota switchgear.

Well, everyone is moving towards those stupid screens, so the playing field is going to level itself in that regard. As far as the status symbol, it was more of a novelty thing - remember when many celebrities drove Prii when hybrids were all the craze? The novelty is all gone now for most of their mainstream models, they are now as common as a Camry here in NYC. I guess the rare Plaid model still carries a lot of prestige, and then of course there is the Cybertruck - it is even more ridiculous than the Escalade was when it launched, but just like the Escalade it is a major hit, people with more money than brains completely obsess over it.

I definitely agree. A lot of it was merely grandstanding from people who hopped from the Prius to Teslas and now to other cars, but I live around a lot of Asians and Teslas are the "it" car to them. I think based on its merits Teslas aren't bad cars at all, but there are some excellent options from GM, BMW, and soon Toyota.

On the other hand, I kinda like EVs because of how utterly smooth and relaxing they can be. I was doing a few test drives yesterday and I just love how effortless they are. With that said, I will always be a sucker for internal combustion engines. That will never die off.
