translation?
I used auto translate biut it wasn't accurate all the time but this what i did figure:
- crown had the best handling and had smoothest power delivery ofthe three thanks to the hybrid system but the engine was noisier, as for other noises it was better than some lexus and had the most comfortable rear seats of the three.
-Bmw had a vague steering feeling compared to crown but better than merc but also it dealt the best with potholes and had little less pitch and dive than the other two, also had more headroom in the back compared too other two
-Merc had the stiffest suspension so steering felt great but it doesn't handle weight all that well car feels a bit too heavy for the engine he says the diesel version is actually very smooth and comparable to crown's hybrid but is even more expensive, so the only way to get an e series is to spend a lot of money and get the top trim which is much more expensive than the other two otherwise you are stuck with a car with a merc badge but crappy performance.
Crown and Bmw these cars also had great materials on the inside, door pockets and some places on the console were hard points but were made of resin rather than scratchy plastic, the merc was the worst hard touch points were rather flimsy and scratchy also cost cutting in various even soft touch points felt somewhat less premium even though they look premium

While searching for an EV as a daily car I found the Crown really seemed to be a commercial failure. There are 2023 model year cars that failed to sell and dealers are offering over $6000 in discounts. I really think people just don't buy the idea of raised sedans. However the Crown Signia seems to be well received.

And the quality of the interior is really poor doesn't feel like Lexus quality at all. If Akio Toyoda wants to replace the Lexus brand with Crown for ICEV buyers, I say it's a very very bad idea.

I bet the Crown with the nice interior is the RWD sedan (a.k.a. the actual Crown, not this watered down, glorified FWD econobox BS made with the global market in mind) version that the Japanese are keeping all to themselves.

At a certain pricepoint, people seem to prefer crossover over sedan on a mainline make. People are willing to spend maybe $40k on a sedan (upper trim Camry, Accord). But above that, they seem to want a big size bump if they are buying a non luxury nameplate. Avalon, Taurus, whatever the big Kia was called, etc. All market failures. I think that the Signia will do OK but the high starting price might not sway many Outback buyers that casually click on the Subaru site and see a $29k starting price versus the Signia's $44k starting price.

Who said he wanted to do that? Crown is obviously a premium Toyota, which is not a luxury car.

The reviews I have seen have praised the quality of the interior; and the quality is no doubt (much) better than the North American volume models (Camry, Corolla and Corolla Cross, all built here).

I was surprised when Toyota North America decided to replace the very slow-selling Avalon rather than just dropping the large sedan, like other automakers in North America. The only medium / large sedans that are still selling here are Camry and Accord.
