Well at least it hasn't got that cheap unpainted black plastic moulding running throughout the car

Looks like they just took the Crown crossover sedan body structure and put on some different lights and body panels on it and selling it as a new standalone model, instead of as a sister car to the Crown crossover sedan thingy.
The BZ7 is a larger car than the Crown Crossover. Dimensions are: LxWxH: 4980 mm x 1840 mm x 1539 mm, Wheelbase: 2850 mm
It seems that Lexus is trying to sabotage itself. This thing looks hideous and screams cheap. The people who designed this thing should be fired!
The picture shows the Toyota BZ7, not a Lexus model.

So if that concept was not an IS but a Corolla, can we say the IS is dead?

New ES reminds of a time when Infiniti thought they could scoop defunct Q45 customers with M45 so they added reclining seats to M45 etc

Very curious about how this will do sales-wise. The general buzz around it seems universally negative, barely anyone praises it. But reality is often disappointing, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell a ton.

If it’s priced right, it will sell

It will be the best selling ES ever, because there will be no other sedan in their lineup left in most of the world.
