Ok lol. Didn't seem to make much of a difference. The proportions of the car are the bigger issue.
Hard to judge or alter proportions from a picture ... but that insert kept catching my eye. And I noticed this was a concern in other opinions. I did this before the videos came out and as I said, a crude attempt.

The age of lameass boxy tall sedans due to battery skateboards is here.

Who else is excited for sedans with BOF Truck design compromises!!!

That black slash does not bother me too much but then, I have decided against this car; I just find it too big (too long) for me. Unless Lexus introduces a sedan about the size (especially the rear seat) of the current or last generation ES, I am afraid that I am no longer shopping for a Lexus.

Interest seems rather low here in Mid-Eastern Europe and the sentiment -at least based on comments on social media- aroud the vehicle is not positive at all -to say the least-. I think this will mark the end of the short and not too successful career of the ES sedan in Europe.

Let's wait for the car to reach Lexus dealership network - I don't think it's going to be this bad in person.

We're seeing this as a downmarket LS, but it's more of an upmarket ES.

LS buyers are gone - Lexus should've made the LF-1 to keep in line with the competition.

In the end, the focus group for this car is someone who looks for comfort, reliability and ease of use in a well made car with good materials.

I honestly don’t see it being far off…

How many ES buyers even care if it’s RWD? Most probably they will see a e4WD system as a bigger advantage than a powerful engine in a RWD chassis.

I think we’re overreacting on this one.

@mikeaveli, what’s your 2cents on this car build quality next to the previous gen?

Havent touched it yet. Schedule is always off. I know there are a few going around showing dealers, you can imagine the feedback happening .

It's not a skateboard design. If it was a skateboard platform it didn't need to be this tall.

Lexus saw BMW's strategy worked and try to replicate it, but the execution is bad.

Looks like they just took the Crown crossover sedan body structure and put on some different lights and body panels on it and selling it as a new standalone model, instead of as a sister car to the Crown crossover sedan thingy.

It seems that Lexus is trying to sabotage itself. This thing looks hideous and screams cheap. The people who designed this thing should be fired!
