This and the Subaru show that when Japanese do manual, they mean it, with manual handbrake. Every other manual on sale today (among performance cars) has a manual only as marketing bait, they did not go all the way with manual handbrake: Porsche, BMW, Alfa, Cadillac, Hyundai. The Genesis G70 does.
Hyundai's N models DO have a manual brake, at least the ones here in North America (Elantra and Veloster); even the DCT models too. The Corolla 6MTs non-GR do not.

Once again BestCar got the rendering 95% correct and got the power number right for once.

Every time I'm tempted to look into buying from other brands, I'm once again reminded why TMC is nigh unparalleled in the automotive space. This is truly something special. I'm dying to see what those GR engineers are going to do with a next gen Supra or RC.

It is main reason for 300hp

Engine exhaust efficiency was improved to achieve even higher output from the same compact, lightweight, high-power unit that propels the GR Yaris. A valve-equipped triple-exhaust muffler reduces both exhaust pressure and noise. In sum, the engine provides overwhelming acceleration and a more-pleasant extension of RPMs

The first mass produced car to have forged carbon fiber roof (after Lambo?)? Nice they went all in about performance. Sad Europe won't get it. Western Europe market is anti-car.

It's pretty impressive they are able to keep the weight under control 1475 kg or 3249 lbs, many other FWD hot hatchbacks of the same segment currently on sale already weigh about that much.

This thing in red is beautiful!


It looks like those older road car based WTCC cars.
What’s interesting is how the Core IS the GR Corolla where the Circuit is the limited edition model, yet most of the marketing is for the circuit. Either way Toyota did great
