The 2020 Lexus RX has been named to the 2019 Wards 10 Best UX List, in recognition of its improved user experience behind the wheel:

The large, horizontal display screen [of the RX] seems to hover above the instrument panel, in clear view of the driver, and the head-up display is vibrant and colorful, with turn-by-turn navigation directions if desired.
Voice controls work well, allowing drivers to change climate settings, find radio stations and program navigation destinations, even with natural speech commands.
The center screen is the main access point for numerous vehicle and comfort settings, and it can be used as a touchscreen or controlled by the mousepad ergonomically placed in the console, to the right of the shifter.

The award looks at the user-friendliness of smartphone pairing and...

Is the RX the first Lexus to sport a touch screen interface?

Yes, even though it's an older model it was the first one getting updated.

The GX 460 also has a touch screen and has for many many years. As far as the rest of the lineup goes, beyond these two, none of the current MY have a touchscreen. Some of the older previous gen models had them but for the new ones this is it for now.

GX has touchscreen for the lack of proper model update/redesign... Has it's based in a very old system (prior to Lexus non-touch screen infotainment).

It's almost as some clothing, keep them long enough and it will return :p

And here I was belittling our 16 RAV4H only to realize it has a touch screen. :) I think it's on Entune 2.0 but we know majority of buyers want CA/AA so Toyota had to give in, after sorting privacy concerns with Google.

Lexus has been named the top automotive brand in the annual American Customer Satisfaction Index rankings. The brand finished with an ACSI score of 84 out of a possible 100 points.
Lexus saw a single point drop compared to last year, barely edging Mercedes in the luxury category — from the study:

Toyota’s luxury plate Lexus is back on top alone this year despite slipping 1% to 84. Across the driver experience, Lexus demonstrates considerable strength and its value rates best in class among all vehicles in the study. A year ago, Volvo tied with Lexus for the lead among luxury cars, but the Swedish-Chinese automaker drops 4% to 82—joining the wave of significant decreases that characterizes...

In roughly 18 months I've had one actual defect in the LS beyond the recall for the run-flats wearing too fast, and it was that the rear sunshade jumped the track and the dealer replaced it for free. Absolutely no problems with the drivetrain or infotainment.

The same news
Good but honestly part of that because the top 4 IS / NX / GS are old with GX are ancient

Here's a better chart with the range of reliability ratings among models of each brand. Quite alarming how lowly-rated the LS is (<20). The LS used to receive the highest reliability rating from CR of all vehicles in the early 2000s despite carrying the most advanced technologies at the time. How the times have changed for the Lexus flagship.

Lexus has been named the top brand in J.D. Power’s 2020 U.S. Customer Service Index (CSI) study. The brand finished second last year.
The study examines owner satisfaction when visiting a dealership service department for maintenance or repair work — scoring is broken down into five categories: service quality, service initiation, service advisor, service facility, and vehicle pick-up.
Here’s how Lexus performed compared to the luxury average:

The study is based on responses from more than 70,000 owners and lessees of 2016 to 2019 model-year vehicles. The study was fielded between October and December 2019.

Lexus just won a couple more awards, on "Best cars to own: Driver Power 2020 results"

Driver%20Power%202020%20best%20cars%20to%20own-3.jpg

Simon Lake’s life revolves around cars – he’s held various jobs in the motor industry, and is currently facilities project manager for the Racing Point Formula One team. His wife took delivery of a Lexus NX about a year ago, and he was so impressed with it that he decided to buy a car from the firm, too. So in November 2019 he picked up his brand-new facelifted RX 450h.
“The one thing that was most surprising to me was its smoothness and its pace,” Simon said. “It’s actually quite a powerful car. The other thing I love is that it feels handmade – there are no rattles or squeaks.”
Simon lives in Tadworth, Surrey but works in Northants, and twice a week he uses his RX to tow his caravan between one county and the other.
“The car’s perfect for things like that because it’s beautifully comfortable,” Simon continued. “The thing you realise about the Lexus is that once you’ve driven 100 miles in heavy traffic, you emerge from the car so much more relaxed than you would in anything else.”

The RX is so good at long-distance driving, in fact, that Simon is planning to go to Berlin and back in it with a friend, once the current travel restrictions have been lifted.
Your view
“The longer you live with the RX, the more you realise how much thought has gone into it. It’s solid, classy and understated.”
“The RX has plenty of boot space, which comes in handy when going away for a weekend or using the car for a longer holiday.”

The IS’s age is no impediment to success, with the car said to impress nearly everywhere, aside from infotainment. But glossing over an interface that you tell us is fiddly to use and offers poor connectivity, you rave about the IS’s reliability, and also say it’s a really nice car to drive thanks to its responsive brakes and steering, plus smooth ride.

Running costs are also said to be low, despite the IS’s executive status, while you say it looks sleek, inside and out, backed up by excellent build quality. Combine this with Lexus’s famed dealer network and you have a model that is likely to make your motoring life very easy indeed.

Your view

“I’m now on my sixth Lexus IS and I cannot find any other car in the same price bracket that compares.”

“Adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist are useful on long journeys. AEB also helped me once, when the car in front had no brake lights.”

"Ah, Lexus, welcome back, your throne awaits. The premium Japanese car maker wins our Driver Power brand survey in 2020, and for the fourth year in a row.

Other companies may be envious, but there’s no secret to Lexus’s repeated wins. Owners tell us no other manufacturer builds more reliable cars, for example, nor does any offer vehicles that are built to a higher standard. Lexus owners also love the way their cars look, inside and out, with no other maker building their cabins better.

And once out on the road, life behind the wheel of a Lexus appears to be excellent, with the firm making brakes and steering systems that are reported to be sharp, and ensuring ride quality is comfortable.

All these elements contribute to a deeply rewarding driving experience, owners say, while safety is another strong point, with the Lexus Safety System + suite of equipment playing second fiddle only to Subaru.

But while we hate to rain on the victor’s parade, it would be remiss not to highlight that there is one element of life with a Lexus that disappoints. Buyers may be prepared for slightly high fuel bills, but they may be less willing to ignore the poor marks for Lexus’s infotainment systems. Yet overlook this and the firm can do almost no wrong, however."

Can't argue with that, even more considering how old looking the standard infotainment is for almost all Lexus...
