A source at Lexus emailed me with more information on the supercharged Lexus LX 570 that will be available in the Middle East:
The Supercharged LX 570 being offered in the Gulf is a limited factory job with the approval of chief engineer Sadayoshi Koyari.
This is based on the TRD USA blower kit for the 5.7L V8 Tundra & Sequoia. (If you find an underhood shot of a blown Tundra or Sequoia it’ll look the same.)
The Middle East supercharged 570 special is a limited edition run including the appearance package and special badging.
Despite the supercharged LX’s awkward SUPERCHARGER badging on the rear gate, it’s exciting to see Lexus release a regional special edition that’s more than a cosmetic modification.
(Have to think that Russia & the United States would be able to sell a limited edition supercharged LX, wonder if we’ll see the monster SUV in other markets?)
