Self Driving Lexus LS 600hL Spotted in Michigan

A self-driving Lexus LS 600hL has been spotted just outside of the Toyota Technical Center in Michigan — LeftLane News has photos:

Looking similar to Google’s self-driving RX 450h (albeit less polished), this LS prototype has all the technology expected with an autonomous vehicle, with sensors and cameras clearly visible all over the car.

The logical guess would be that Lexus is looking to add autonomous driving to the LS — considering the cost of development, introducing self-driving technology to the Lexus flagship sedan first makes a whole lot of sense.

Yeah, I saw that this morning, but I don't think this is that big of a deal. It may be an option on the LS in 5-6 years, but...... BD

We're already halfway there with Lane Keep Assist and Radar Cruise Control.
