Official Lexus LS F SPORT Photo Released

Lexus has released an official photo of the 2013 Lexus LS F SPORT on Facebook:

This image not only confirms the earlier leaked photos as authentic, it also provides an additional viewing angle — let’s zoom on one specific area that keeps grabbing my attention:

2013 Lexus LS F SPORT

The muscular creases, LED headlights, chrome spindle mesh grille and blacked out bumper all converge in a way that’s just pure awesome — there may be more mystery than fact at this point, but so far I’m impressed.

(I should also mention that I’ll be attending the LS reveal in San Francisco on Monday, and will be posting live updates — more details this weekend.)

(Thanks Ryan!)

Yes, looks like its a new mirror as well.
    W
Yep! It's the new LFA-like mirror that is now on the CTh and the new GS! In my opinion, it's a bit too round... aha
    Y
It really does too round , but hopefully it works nicely & reduce drag !

2 refreshes in 1 product cycle? Don't get me wrong. I think the 460 has aged beautifully, and it looks to be a good refresh, but it is getting to be an old car now. With the A8 and new S class coming I can't help but assume this car will be technologically outdated in one way or another.

A8 has been released in late 2009 as 2010 model and is never been a success neither in EU,probably is the less sold car of his class worldwide. S-Klasse probably is the most dangerous rival for the LS cuz will be completely new, aniway i wan't expecting from Lexus to see an hard facelift instead of an all new LS.

Has anyone realised that the DRLs are different. You can't see the individual LEDs, rather, it's just one slim line. So beautiful.

i hope your right with that one it would be awesome always though the individual led lights were crap compared to the one long line.

I was dissapointed in LEXUS when they 1st came out with the LED strip, don't get me wrong it looks awesome but I was hoping for some originality and this "TRON" look would be amazing!!

i think this is super sexy. looks mean and its an LS. cant beat that. But on a side not what about the 460 that had the sports package? does this mean this only has a grill changes and a few f sport logos thrown on it?

**** and the new headlights as well.

WINNING! This will be good for three years of production! By then, the new S-class will have debuted, and a thoroughly updated 7er will debut as well! If Lexus introduces an all-new LS after the competitors introduce their flagship updates, then the LS shall be KING!

Not going to lie here.... but I expect way more yes the front is different but beside the front it looks the same I was expecting a hugh design leap for this car like they did with the GS. The 4th gen GS looks nth like the 3rd gen. This isnt to say its ugly I think it looks great even tho the wheel/tire package look to small for a car that size. The front end is the winning aspect of this car and so will be the interoir. Maybe a complete change in another 3-4 years... it would be horrible if by that time Lexus dropped another refreash for it... I would have to write Lexus an angry letter at that point Can wait to see better pics of this car.

I am skeptical about the spindle-grille - but I think that this looks good on the front. It all depends what is on the inside - I have no doubt it will be a big leap forward - it has to be - the LS is the flagship... Hope the back of the car is not too boring - aggression with elegance I hope!

I STILL DO NOT KNOW WHY EVERYONE SAY IT IS MINOR FACELIFT DEPENDING ON JUST A PHOTO MY THINKING IT IS A TOTAL FMC WITH EVEN NEW CHASSIS AND NEW INTERIOR AND IT MAY CONTAIN A LOT MORE NEW TECH. IN SHORT NO ONE KNOWS NOTHING  SO WHY EVERYONE START SAYING SO & SO WAIT TILL MONDAY TO SEE IT LIVE FROM EVERY ANGLE WITH A PURE PHOTOS AND MAY BE YOU FOUND THAT THE WINDOWS LINE IS LESS OR MORE THAN THE RUNNING ONE FOREXAMPLE

This is just a sport package, so let's calm down.  The base car will look more traditional. The GS F-Sport sells very well, and there is no real competition in the Prestige Class.  You have to buy full-blown sport sedans for over $130k to get a similar appearance from Germany. I think this will work out well for Lexus, and we'll see the standard version Monday, and get a press release...... BD

They should've went with new door handles and maybe change up the side profile a bit more. It looks exactly the same on the side. The interior better be all new for this car to get a lot more attention

Does anybody have any idea why Lexus would chose to just update the LS rather than totally redesign it? After such a revolutionary redesign for the GS and ES, why take this approach with the LS?
    R
I think the current one is absolutely stunning! It's hard to perfect perfection....

This is just a mid refresh, wait 2-3 years for the full restyling, I believe it will have a complete restyling along with the RX, CT (if it doesn't get any facelift in the mid term) plus  all the different line-up,

Really tired of the posted comments on the refresh instead of full blown new generation.....LEXUS knows what they are doing here.......the competition will reveal their lines and the LS will be fine....who knows what the strategy will reveal in the next 48 to 72 months.....something to blow all customer expectations away....Akio has mentioned that he plans to excite like it was the new LS 400 all over again for the future.  Speculation is wated energy......LEXUS is not about to waste anything on the flagship future.
R
I personally expected more changes. But LOL if you put this side by side to a German luxury car, dang this would look like a complete monster!!! I LOVE IT!

Should have been a more thorough redesign, like the GS. Wish they'd put more effort into the tail lights and side profile. And considering that the engines are also going to be carried over, this is going to be a big flop against the new S-class.

The new S-Class is no great looker.  Nothing to fear there.  They NEED to try and find a great design, and they're still searching.  The LS HAS a great design already! The GS needed a new direction.  The LS not so much...... BD

"The new S-Class is no great looker." Really? You're comparing the new LS to spy shots of a heavily covered S class? Come on. Your bias is clearly showing here.

Nothing wrong with the current design. Why fix what's not broken? The new look is great and I'm sure it will make most buyers think twice before going for a merc or bimmer. I'm sure the interior will be different like the gs and es and may incorporate an LCD dash just like the Benz but more like the LFA, I hope. We'll just have to wait and see. I can't wait to hear the roar of the engine

This is a step in the wrong direction. A comfort-luxury vehicle with bits tacked on to make it look sporty is just wrong in my opinion. None of it's potential buyers are looking for a sporty looking vehicle, but they want elegance which this is not. The non-F model doesnt look good either. A step the wrong way. Krew will now probably have me blocked againg... LOL!

I must respectfully beg to differ. I,for one, definitely want a sporty luxury car. Feeling connected to the road and deeply involved in the process of driving is all important to me. Older Lexus cars were very comfortable, but a bit lifeless and detached. The CT 200h and the new GS are still very smooth and comfy, but you really feel like the organic part of a machine. My current favourite Lexus;the GS 450h F Sport is simply perfect in that it can transport you in utter comfort and be entirely effortless, and then at the turn of the drive mode selector it's a hot-blooded sports saloon. LS F Sport? Oh,yes. Bring it on! :-D

I said people dont need a "sporty looking" vehicle in this segment. Did you see that I wrote LOOKING much?! Not that the car shouldnt be a good drivers car.

Hello everyone, After seeing the newly discovered photos of the LS last night on Club Lexus, I want explain why I will not be posting them right away. As I mentioned a couple days ago, I have been invited to the LS debut in San Francisco by Lexus. Part of that invitation was an agreement that I would not publish any official information until Monday at 8:30 PT.  These new LS photos were discovered on the Lexus press website by a very crafty fellow, and while I'm very excited by what I've seen, publishing them would go against the agreement I have with Lexus. I will not delete the link to the photos above, and will not remove the photos that have been posted already, but I will delete any newly uploaded images. Thank you for your understanding, Kevin Watts Editor, Lexus Enthusiast
