Details on the Lexus GS 450h Bamboo Steering Wheel

If you ever doubted that Lexus is all about the details, here’s six minutes of video dedicated to the bamboo steering wheel available in the new GS 450h:

It would be hard to watch these three videos and not be impressed by the craftsmanship and dedication — the fact that each steering wheel is individually sanded and varnished by hand just blows me away. What an amazing level of detail.

Very nice alternative change for wood choices....curious if this will carry over to the other new generation models coming out soon......the LS has a few various wood grains and stain  colors....might be nice to have the Bamboo as an added selection on the other models as well.

    I have to think that this bamboo trim will be an option on all Lexus hybrids moving forward.

hi, i m a student from university. I m doing a project which to make a laminated bamboo block, anyway i can ask for more details about the adhesive using and preservation method ?
