2011 Lexus RX 350 Recalled for VDIM Issue

Lexus has issued a recall for a small number of RX 350s equipped with Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) systems. The issue stems from improper calibration of the hydraulic control valves, which may cause the front right wheel to function incorrectly during ABS (Antilock Braking System) or VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) activation.

In terms of scope, this recall affects 32 RX 350s in the USA and 493 in Canada, and will require dealers to replace the brake actuator free of charge. In the USA, this safety recall is expected to begin this month, with the Canadian recall starting in September.

(If you own a RX 350 manufactured between August 30, 2010 & May 18, 2011 and would like to know if your vehicle is affected, you can contact Lexus at 1 800-255-3987.)
