I realy don't understand this idea that lexus aren't handing or dynamic cars...Am I wrong or I recall da 2nd Generation GS300/400 reviews by MotorTend (1998 import Car of the Year) and Car& Driver Considering the this GS MkII as dynamicaly as good as the BMWs e39 (still the best handing BMW yet)...I recall the 2001 IS300 as a great handler...why this conotation that Lexus are not fun to drive??? I do understand that the 3rd Gen GS and ES was to refined duo to the introduction of to many mecatronic systems that turned the driving experience to "processed" and unnatural. But what abour the 2GS and 1IS? Forgotten?

It's all marketing, Lexus doesn't need to market itself as the best Lexus handing or dynamic cars in world.  It is inside knowledge among enthusiast and race car drivers that Lexus is the greatest car maker in the world.    The current and future GS will run circles around around all BMWs regardless of the model.  I know for sure that an IS is handles better than Lotus Elise.

I think @f4996007c2477b377936465bbbfe065e:disqus is right in that it's all just marketing -- plus, I would think this "more dynamic" etc. is a comparison between the 3GS & 4GS.

I have a sneaky suspicion that the GS350 is going to be a very "controversial" design under that vinyl. But I hope I'm wrong! I just find it suspicious Lexus let people drive it and fall in love with it before they showed off it's face...

The only thing that could end up being controversial is the grill. As long as they put some sort of horizontal visual divider in there, it should be fine. And from those Lexus Australia survey photochops it seems there will be something to split up that monstrosity of the LF-Gh grill.

We can hope they'll do something to the grille but I'm not so sure. Why would they wait so long to "unveil" the car after already letting reviewers drive it? I know they got the survey results after the concept LF-Gh was unveiled showing that a lot of people did NOT like the grille. Lexus is either covering up the grille because it hasn't changed and they don't want people to see it and be turned off by the car without even knowing how improved the drive is; or Lexus is covering up the car because they changed the grille and they want it to be a surprise at the reveal. I'm leaning more toward the former than the latter, though, but we'll see.

Letting journalist drive the GS before it's fully revealed is all marketing, and meant for people looking at the new 5-series and E-class -- I don't think there's going to be anything particularly controversial about the design.

Get the GS or IS-F it hands down beat all the cars he's looking for.  M5 is unreliable and expensive to maintain for poor performance compare the the new GS.

I would wait for the GS, if only for the interior, which looks absolutely amazing.

Maybe it's me, but when other people say that Lexus looks like Audi, in the case of the interior is similar to germans. I like the rest and is so nice too.

A Lexus IS (Toyota Altezza) is no where near a Lotus Elise on handling ... but compared with BMW E46 3-series Sedan , Altezza is just tiny bit behind it on handling . But on ride comfort , the Altezza is much like sitting inside a tuned Corolla ... it's good on Handling but it's very very stiff & not as nice as BMW at the same situation . Same things is going to any other Lexus before ... hope the new GS won't be like this anymore .
