Black Lexus LFA Delivered in Chicago

The #026 Black Lexus LFA was delivered to its owner in the south suburbs of Chicago, and we get to meet the lucky guy in this video from local TV station WGN:

It’s great to finally meet one of the LFA owners, I hope it’s something we see more of. I bet there’s a lot of great stories behind the purchases.

Update: Replaced the WGN video with one from Youtube.

@Lexusluver -- I am totally with you. When that guy said the above quote I was like, what? How in the world is a LFA green in any way? I guess it would better the environment by having something super cool to look at when parked in public. However, I see now that Car and Driver has specs stating 14/20mpg for it based in their estimates, which are higher than estimates I remember reading before. So I guess in a sense now the car is a bit green, for a super car, if driven gently on the highway. To my knowledge the Porsche 911 Turbo S would be the most green super car, with its estimated 17/25 mpg. Still, for me, if I ever bought a LFA, to alleviate green guilt, I would just in turn plant $379k worth of trees....then rev away!

What he meant was "if he could find one", he wanted to get a green supercar. Obviously, though, LFA's emissions pass the most stringent Euro 5 emissions standards, it is not possible to be that since you cannot build an engine like that expect it to be green. Nor can you build a hybrid engine that will sound like that V10 monster. As the saying goes, can't have your cake and eat it too.

Not sure why anybody would even be interested in the car. For the price tag, you can purchase a lot more for the money....what a rip off from Lexus. Top Gear actually did a comparison of this with a 911 and the 911 destroyed it overall value. By the way, apparently this guys car is on display at the Chicago Auto Show.

@Jason St. Petersburg Photographer: soooo true...lol by green I believe he meant the amount of ludicrous cash he paid for it(Dealer looked happy)...he better hope they keep that limited production to as stated of 500 or else it will drop in value like most $200k Mercedes Super cars do. I'm not super impressed with car even though it has alot of goodies in it...I never seen a track course fight between the GTR and the LFA and I doubt I'll get to see it cause in the standing quarter the LFA won but at the last few seconds but not by much...the GTR is almost 100 hp less as for the wife her fake demeanor only shows she has no control which I bet she wished she did over that purchase lol
