Not going to happen unless they pull out of WRC which also won't happen. The Celica will be a comfort-focused midsize coupe according to BestCar. They still need those two more affordable and race focused compact 4 doors.
My thoughts exactly.

Hyundai seems to be on the verge of pulling out of WRC, not sure if Toyota is going to stay in it either.

Toyota is truly going all out showing off their basically infinite wealth.

My best guess is the Celica will be built on the upcoming low-hood-height TNGA platform, seeing how all generations of the Celica have always shared platforms with other Toyotas.

As long as it doesn't end up being an understeering pig like the Audi TT and isn't too heavy, I'm cool with it being more comfort oriented than the GR Yaris and GR Corolla.

It would be amazing if the new MR2 is AWD, like a scaled down R8.

IS F is missing in that list. I know it is not a Toyota, but a Lexus, but it would be nice I Lexus made a new generation performance hybrid IS, wagon while they I am dreaming.

My theory:

GR Yaris and GR Corolla don't survive past this generation and get replaced by GR Celica.

GR Celica - AWD, 2.0T
GR MR2 - MR, 2.0T and AWD
GR 86 - RWD, 1.5T
GR Supra - ?????????
GR GT3 - self explanatory.

Now what I'm wondering is.. if all 4 sports cars end up having the 2.0T, then something has to be radical here to stand out.. GR Celica a 4-door perhaps?
The GR Yaris and GR Corolla in quick succession changed Toyota's reputation of being able to build good sporty cars (without help of other makers). I don't know that it would be a great idea to drop those names. I think there probably is room to keep them around. The Yaris, Corolla, and 86 act as the entry level with the G16. Celica 2.0T offers the step up for both the Yaris and Corolla in the fun but practical (FF 4WD layout with 4 doors) while the MR2 2.0T offers the RWD upgrade path.
