meanwhile the Lexus RX FSP has 366hp nx450h+ 306hp. At least the next RAV4 looks promising for whoever is in the market for one.

Toyota is a joke 🤷‍♂️

Shows the lexus sandbagging was intentional.

I wont be buying another toyota product in my life.

I didn't think when Toyota would become "fun" again that would come at the expense of Lexus. I wonder if whatever was supposed to be the next Lexus IS will pop up as a Toyota (akin to how the spiritual successor of the GS lives through the Mirai)
If they revive the Mark II series I would not complain at all if it replaces the IS. A comfort oriented Cressida trim and sports oriented Chaser trim would be great!

The X platform triplets making a come back would be sick. I would love own a manual JZX90 Chaser Tourer V, but finding one that hasn't been modified and abused to death in my country is pretty much impossible, so a modern equivalent would be lovely.

Unmodified MT JZX90 and JZX100 are collector pieces and always reserved so don't expect to buy them from available inventory in any country. People reserve them years before delivery and pay to keep them in air conditioned warehouses. Your best chance is getting an AT (which are much more plentiful) and MT swap afterwards.

C-HR and the Lexus "flagship" ES 500e have the same powertrain.

Simply unreal.

why wouldnt they?

Also completely different cars competing in completely different categories, why should CHR be downgraded because a large Lexus sedan exists? Its competition are Teslas and VWs of the world.

Well, it depends on the way we perceive luxury/premium offers.

If what we're looking for is more gadgets and more power - we should look into another brand because it's not core value for Lexus

If what we're looking for is better NVH, better materials, better fit and finish - it's a Lexus all along

I do reckon that Lexus is too far from other competitors on power offerings.
