That's why the LS EV didn't happen. Weight can easily spiral out of control on full-size EVs with 500+km range.

BMW will not have a competitive EV before Neue Klasse. CLAR has proven to be a terrible base platform for conversion BEVs.

Lexus needs to really think about where they want to take the next LS. I hope its going to looks better than the LF-FC with an interior to match. The interior is nice on this 7 series and not over the top like the S-Class

Come to think of it, Lexus actually has a good opportunity to get P2 (or maybe even P1 in some months) in the sales race. The S-Class will be king but I think the 6th generation LS can spank the A8 and 7-Series if it's executed properly.

Lexus really needs to seize this opportunity. Bring the V35A-FTS for a round two, a V35A-FTS hybrid, a twin-turbo V8 (U40A-FTS/U40A-GTS), and an EV LS. Make sure the interior isn't smaller than the ES interior, keep the omotenashi concept interior and use elements from their newer tazuna interior concepts.

Given how garish the exterior of the new 7-Series is, and the A8 is a tech overload, Lexus can strike a balance within the market.

It's 400kg heavier than a similarly equipped TM3. Its efficiency is terrible.

Yes it's good in a straight line it out runs a M3. But that's pretty much the only USP for any BMW these days.
