You know now that I think of it, maybe the weird C/D pillar on the RX is also done on purpose to separate a 3 row "TX" which would need a normal window.

A very good point! To have a luxurious 3rd row, a supposed "TX" model would be required to have a very boxy profile and roofline. That would be a great way to differentiate and spot such a model out on the street vs an RX.
