Holy crap it sounds amazing. 🤤😩

It's like a godly mix between a RB26 and a 1JZ. The P2uned turbo kit is just such a great kit and gives the A90 GR Supra its own commanding character. You can really change the character of this car by changing either the downpipes, exhaust, or with a tune. Then imagine it with a badass turbo kit. This car has so much want factor.

Toyota knocked it out of the park with BMW and the A90 GR Supra is truly hitting into its own stardom. Not only do the sales numbers prove it, but the fun that almost all the buyers have when they hoon it also show it. The Supra nameplate is back and it really is better than ever. Screw the haters.

For those who are curious about horsepower numbers, it's making mid 500's but that's without a tune to optimize the turbo setup. A tune will make it run low-700's with no sweat and that's just with regular pump gas. The only limiting factor is the ZF8HP51 transmission, otherwise I strongly do believe this setup can comfortably make these numbers (I actually believe it can do a lot more with a completely stock block and head with just basic supporting modifications for the turbocharger and maybe with some E as well).

Do we still have doubters here?
that is why this engine makes no more sense in rwd cars. turbo cars are too powerful/torquey for manual and rwd, auto and awd is a must. at this point can also go electric.

such power of of little gain for track. tuned cars are marginally faster compared to their power increase, which is only useful for drag racing.

No thanks.

^Great video.

Agreed, but he just became more of a cynic in this one. He was really liking the car after he drove it a few times but now he sort of switched back to his stance before he drove it for the first time. Was really bizarre.

2021 Toyota GR Supra lap time: 1:12.17
Has anyone of you seen this review before? It's on their 2nd channel so it's probably not that well known. The Supra's handling kinda reminds me of time attack cars, sharp front end and a rear end that is really willing to help the car rotate through corners, it takes quite a bit of skill and concentration to get it right, but if you know how to work with its handling characteristics you would be able to carry a lot speed through the turns and put down really good lap times, but like Thomas said in the video Toyota should do some more fine tuning to the suspension to make the rear end less nervous and bouncy, and be more composed and predictable without getting rid of that willingness to rotate and end up making it too stable(understeer).

Hopefully the 2023 model year will be getting some nice upgrades e.g. improved suspension setup matched with a set of PS4S tyres and not just another special edition with some cosmetic upgrades.

Ah, I've seen it. Honestly strange how disparate opinions are regarding the characteristics of the Supra's rear end in hard driving. From what I can tell, there's the camp that believes that the rear rotates effectively and predictably, and the others that seem to think that said rotation is unpredictable, and unnatural and or something along the lines of problems in the suspension. Dunno who to believe here.
Edit: Adding this here, but I can't help but be reminded of the disparity in opinions pertaining to the RC F, in that there's a seeming journalistic chasm in opinion.
