Lexus sales in Australia were up nearly 30% in August, thanks to record sales of the NX crossover and the introduction of the UX crossover. A total of 817 vehicles were purchased.
The SUV lineup jumped 58.6% over last year, with the mid-size NX up 39.9% at 368 units and the UX selling 145 units. The two are the best selling models in the lineup.

Lexus clearly has a winner with its UX across markets. Hopefully this inspires them to keep building on it and make improvements every year (ahem GS, LX, IS). I wanna see how the UX has come since launch.

New-car sales in Germany fell 0.8 percent to 313,748 in August, according to data released by the German Motor Transport Authority (KBA)...

Major brands had mixed results last month with Lexus, Ford and Mercedes among brands bucking the overall market's decline to post big gains while VW and Audi brand saw sales decline steeply.

Among the winners, Smart registrations rose 52 percent, Lexus gained 32 percent and Ford sales were up 28 percent.

Mercedes sales rose 22 percent...

Porsche sales rose 7.3 percent...

... Audi was down 11 percent.

BMW registrations fell 3 percent.

@Trexus , do you have the numbers for the venerable IS as well? :)

I think most people here are waiting for the 4IS. Can't wait for it to be built on the TNGA-L platform.

Reading about Toyota/Lexus platforms, it's almost as if the six global BEVs Toyota will be saying will be built new ground up. Hopefully they carry on with most of the nicer Lexus designs.

Lexus growing in Germany is always good but keep remembering 32% more than almost nothing is still not great :).

New NX will help and whenever they decide to bring 300h to RX will also make a big difference.

5LS sales continue to seriously struggle. I hope this makes Lexus take serious note in the ways that the 5LS has missed the mark for a lot of people.

The RX line is very successful and can't think of anything to improve it. There are already a 2 row and 3 row RX and F Sport versions. Maybe introduce an electric version of the RX such as the RX 400e...but how many people will actually purchase an electric RX because of the range? I think the hybrid RX is just fine the way it is.

I have thoroughly driven a 2016 4RX before, and I can think of a number of things to improve for the RX, RXL, and the RX line in general.
