Geezus does every Honda have the same interior? And they jacked the Acura gear shifter again.

Mahn my respect for the BRZ/GR86 just grew some more.

Man, they are really pushing hard on the cost cutting measures, so many Hondas now are using the exact same dashboard and steering wheel as the 11th gen Civic. It's as if cranking down the quality of their cars doesn't actually save money in the long run, e.g. ending up spending more money on warranty claims or maybe even losing their existing customers to other car brands.

Also, Honda is in talks with Nissan to merge together, I swear Honda is probably also facing serious financial trouble but they're purposely trying keep as quiet as possible to maintain their "image".

Honda struggles everywhere but the states. They have some weird magic over people here, Credit their marketing tactics. They sell only 2% in Europe. Toyota is the number two seller behind VW. Their dedicated EV was awful and bashed by all the motoring press there.

This is 1980s GM level of lazy. Why even bother?

Imagine waiting years for a juicy hamburger and you get a cheeseburger from McDonald’s lol.

Even McDonalds is expensive nowadays, the struggle is real, lol. Looked up Integra type S, it starts at 52K - I think I paid about that much for my M2 just before the plandemic. Either way, after the absurd decision to discontinue the Civic coupe they need something to replace it, so this should take it's place.

I've long given up waiting for anything juicy from Honda with 4 wheels. Their last appealing car was the S2000 and they have abandoned it 20 years ago. If they ever revive the name, its going to be some electric insult to its heritage. At least the Prelude was always an awkward model and never really gained much identity.

The Prelude "never really gained much identity"? Really? But I guess you must be over a certain age to remember the Prelude with great affection, since it has been out of production for 20+ years now.

I remember the Prelude just fine, and each generation styling was so radically different from each other, there just isn't much lineage.

As a teen I thought the Prelude was the poor man’s Supra. C pillar was similar, Interior was always weird but always liked the car. It’s crazy to think how many Hondas and Acuras I wanted to have in the 1990s.

We are talking 25 years later and this will have about the same HP as the last prelude. Which is now a civic coupe. With oddly the face of a prius.

I know we are supposed to be happy for coupes but this and the new charger are DOA

Lmao, their early sketch of this new Prelude look so sleek and sharp, but then the final product ended up with a big chonky beltline like most modern economy cars. Straight up just took a Civic, chopped off a certain amount of its mid-section and lowered the roof height, and ta-da, a new "Prelude".

Feels like Honda didn't learn their lesson from the CR-Z. Once again, they just took a hybrid system meant for economy cars and stuffed it into something that's supposed to be sporty.

Watch this thing's msrp be higher than the GR86/BRZ and MX-5's current prices even without including the import tariffs.
