????? Not sure I'm following you. In the American market, this is the 1Gen version. We don't have any idea what the net-generation (assuming there is one) will be like.

So, you're saying, then, that in your opinion, Ford has screwed up this initial version, and will likely do better next time. Perhaps, but let's at least wait and see how it tests out with reviewers, and holds up in the hands of actual consumers (other recent small Ford products have had reliability issues, particularly with dual-clutch transmissions). It won't even be officially released till fall of this year. (and, yes, it's on my own review-list).
