I don't understand the point of a GRMN TNGA-K Century SUV 🤔
The CF elements and wheels are cool though.. is this supposed to be on par with a BMW M SUV handling wise or what's it's positioning?
I assume so because GRMN.. otherwise it would've been GR or even GR Sport.
As I’ve said before, the LFR might be the last Lexus model truly worth looking forward to, but only if it carries the Lexus badge. If not, then this brand may never capture enthusiast attention again. Personally, if a car company no longer puts effort into building its cars, I won’t support it, let alone buy from it.They would be taken way more seriously if they started fresh with a blank slate. ICE's are going nowhere, so there's no need to build every single car of theirs riding on the TNGA-K platform. A GRMN means power and chassis upgrades over a regular GR car. There is no way they did anything remotely special with the GRMN Century, it's probably a lame bodykit tacked on.
I'm starting to come to the realization that Lexus was probably a stop-gap for Toyota for when they weren't building sports cars. Now that Toyota is going full-bore into developing GR cars from the ground-up, there isn't a need for Lexus anymore. Or... to make matters worse, they'll just bastardize Lexus into a pseudo-Tesla brand, which will drive Lexus enthusiasts and the old-fashioned Lexus customers away.

@Gecko I know this may be your worst nightmare since you're not that much of a BMW guy but can you make a BMW Enthusiast and Toyota Enthusiast forums pretty please? UuUIf Mazda is able to get their Skyactiv Z right and BMWs become good looking again (IMO the looks of the current 3 series excluding the M3 is still acceptable), then I'm give up on Toyota and Lexus completely.
King sh*t. Nice.I've bought a bunch of other enthusiast domains i've offered to @Gecko whenever he wants them.
That's how the world always worked. Japanese "ripoffs" took over the world. Then the Koreans did the same. You can't cheat reality. When you run out of things to rip off, is when you see who has the actual lead on things.
"Everything is a ripoff" says the ripoff artist. That's how the world always worked. Japanese "ripoffs" took over the world. Then the Koreans did the same.
Excuse me but who did I rip off? Why are you angry towards everything all the time?"Everything is a ripoff" says the ripoff artist.
And no, i work with companies with deep global IP portfolios, China is consistently a level above others in terms of nation state support of mass IP theft and corporate espionage.
The level of protection and compartmentalization required isn't even comparable with other nations.
And academia is not always at the forefront nor is work done under corporate confidentiality often publicly detailed.
Doing a "draw by numbers mona lisa" and then arguing every painting is a ripoff of another is wild.
