I don't think most overlanders are putting 4 200lb adults in a single vehicle. What I typically see, if it is more than 2 people, is a young kid or two in the back seats. I camped quite a bit out of my 4Runner and volume was honestly more of an issue than weight. With 2 people, you're looking at 600lbs of gear in a Trailhunter. That should be plenty since you won't be adding a bunch of armor or racks to make it overland ready. Of course, this all varies depending how you use the vehicle for camping. I slept in mine so there was no need for roof top tent, for example. Horses for courses.

A 4 person overlander would be better suited with a TRD Off Road Premium. It has more interior volume and has 1390lbs of payload while starting with the same basic drivetrain capabilities.

Good to see SDM is now an option on Offroad Premium models. It would be nice to see it also offered on non-hybrid models.
