I'm curious what the SR5 will look like. I'm expecting it to basically look like the Tacoma SR5 trim, but the 4Runner SR5 has historically been a little elevated over the equivalent Tacoma.

I'm not sure if something is off or what but.. I sat in the 4Runner at the LA Auto Show and the 2nd row legroom was incredibly tight.

I then went to the Land Cruiser, and that had way longer 2nd row legroom. Not sure what's going on there. AFAIK, you can't adjust the 4Runners 2nd row to slide forward.. unless you can and I was mistaken.

But given it and the LC have the same wheelbase I thought the space would be the same.

I’m not impressed with all the plastic in the 4Runner. If feels like a step backward. Even my 3rd gen SR5 with leather has leather on the door panels. I would expect the 6th gen Sport and TRD Offroad Premium to have more soft materials.

Maybe it’s me, but it seems like the front row seats and dash are further back than the 5th gen 4Runner. The longer wheelbase doesn’t seem to give any benefit to the interior space as well. The Tacoma is the same way. The Tacoma wheelbase is longer, but interior space hasn’t really changed.

I noticed the engine on the LC250 seems to sit really far back in the chassis. Maybe they’re giving more space for front crash ratings? I don’t know. I’m not that impressed with TNGA-F packaging, particularly on the Tacoma.

Can a six foot guy/gal sit in the second row comfortably?

I love the Trailhunter interiors, and that Platinum 4Runner interior looks great. I wish some of that would trickle up to the LC250 and Lexus products. That hexagon pattern on the Platinum 4Runner looks fantastic.

These little shits are starting to get insanely pricey. As for all Toyotas.

Yeah, starting near or at $35K would have been nice.

TRD Offroad Premium I-Force MAX is nearly $60k if optioned with a sunroof and tow package. Still only single zone climate control though. Lol. What a joke.

I just checked the Trailhunter weighs 5500lbs (2495kg) while only having 6505lbs (2950kg) GVM. This means its payload capacity is only 1005lbs (455kg). With 4 passengers onboard you will barely have 100kg of payload left. This product is a trap for people thinking they could build an overlanding rig from it. The GX550 OT at similar price has 1500lbs/680kg of payload so when you subtract the weight of passengers it could carry 2-3 times the amount of cargo. In fact, the 4Runner Trailhunter could carry less weight than a Corolla Cross hybrid. I don't know who approved a "hardcore overlanding SUV" that can carry less weight than a commute car. Maybe they know people will buy these only to get groceries and never touch dirt.

The entire GA-F lineup is bad at carrying weight. Their increase in GVM is not enough to offset the increase in empty weight. The F2 platform grew to the same size and weight class as the J200, but their GVM remains roughly the same as the J150.
