I'm not sure this was posted anywhere, but the US press release for the 700h has been updated with pricing. The base model (2 row) has been dropped and the entry level LX 600 Premium starts at $106,850. 700h powertain carries a 4k premium on Luxury and F-Sport Trims. Ultra Luxury is also a 700h exclusive now.
Which would you take: 700h Overtrail for 115k or GX550 Overtrail + at 85k? For 30k you get real leather, 3 lockers, 3+MPG, +108HP, +104TQ, 2400W inverter, AHC, Rear AC/Tri zone climate, 2nd row ventilated seats, and digital rear view mirror. Soft door closing and wood interiors I THINK will be offered. Fixes every gripe you could have about the GX---you just gotta pay for it.

$5k increase year over year for the same trim is a big price jump for very minimal changes, IMO. I guess probably not a big deal for the LX buyer but I feel like the LX is getting pretty expensive for what it is.

I love the GX exterior but don't care much for the interior. I like the exterior of the LX and am lukewarm on the interior, but like it more than the GX interior. The one I find the least compromise with is the Sequoia, especially in the 1794 trim. That would probably be my choice.

Even with the Sequoia, I'm not as interested in the hybrids due to weight and packaging, so my ideal option would be something like GX 550 with a much nicer interior (more like Sequoia 1794).

Heavier and has less interior storage.

Honestly I'd take the LX500d or even better, a LC GR Sport with the diesel.
Specially considering there haven't been many reports of failure except for some early ones about pistons getting damaged due to mistiming of intake valves(also happened on the 3ur, 16g gts) but other than that there have been any other issues specially considering it's hot v and is popular in the middle east and Australia where they are already cooked

Doesn't that diesel only make like 300hp? Hard pass. The LX isn't a tow rig. Saddling it with a lazy, low performance engine using what are always the nastiest fuel pumps is the antithesis of what luxury should be.

I will buy none of those and get a Sequoia Capstone.

The Sequoia didn't have to be a USDM model. Toyota could always needed a "Grand Cruiser" in its lineup to compete with the Patrol.

Of the LX700h was an IRS version of the Sequoia it would be much more desirable than what we have now.

Interesting! Can you share more on why?
Maybe because is the first run of GX but I just dont see Lexus quality in this year GX. Toyota yes Lexus no. And this is in comparison to many other lex cars I owned. IMHO. Woobly hood, rattle, passanger message seat stoped working, wireless charging not working, 10 speed gears feel weird, some cheap looking plasic, doesnt feel as weel build as my 23 GX.
