I wonder if there will be a direct replacement or not. It has been so many years we hear rumors of AWD Celica and MR2. Those in addition to Supra and 86 are too many niche cars.
The thing is that despite the GR86 being an upgrade over the GT86, the GT86 is gaining value, and same with the GR86 here in Europe.
