I don’t have TX figures but MDX sales fell 41% last month. I had a friend replace their old mdx with a TX. Sales are down 13% for the year with a refresh.

(As a Lexus partner I had a loaner, I was not asked to post a thing. This is something I did on my own. I like writing reviews and helping).

Thanks to Lexus I’ve been driving a loaded Incognito TX 500h out in Phoenix during the hottest week of the year. Then we went Vegas and Hoover Dam. Overall it’s easy to understand why it sells well. No glaring faults and just really good room inside.

Pros
Spacious and great for 2 adults and 2 kids for our trip
No trunk space issues
Large screen is great with Google Maps
Air blows cold on 110 degree and higher heat
Ride smooth on most roads.
Handles and Manuvers well.
Easy to see out of
Tons of USB-C ports we used and the front cubby space is large
Engine is perfectly fine most of the time, good initial power
Easy as hell to park such a big vehicle.

Opportunities
Brakes are massive but didn’t modulate so well. Felt cold in 110 degree heat
Needs a cooler option like the LX
Needs a 450-500hp option. On long desert roads in the heat passing power was okay but would loved more power (curious now to drive the 550h+ on the same roads)
Hybrid MPG was okay but I blame the intense heat.
Ride a bit bouncy at higher speeds but maybe it’s the desert roads

My weirdness
Still not in love with the looks
Saw like 50 other TX’s in a week, didn’t see one LX. We still love our LX.
I do fantasize of a black one lowered with painted brakes and nice wheels.
Bring the triple LEDs back!

Overall again this is kind of a no brainer. The Lexus pickup experience was outstanding at Lexus of Earnthardt. I went back to take some clips of a TX 350 on 24” wheels i will post soon. . Not one hiccup driving it.

The exterior design of this car is...hard to describe. I had no idea Americans had such peculiar taste. Just the way it looks is enough to put me off completely. And somehow, it's still a cash cow? Mind blown. :ROFLMAO:

The rear and side profiles are ok, but once you turn to the front… it suddenly remembers it’s just a home appliance

Does anyone know when supply will get better for the 550h+. I understand that they are basically vaporware at the moment because Lexus is having trouble producing the plug in hybrid battery needed for this vehicle. Trying to decide between the various variants of the TX and noted that Mikeavelli's review that he would like to see more power from the 550h, and it seems like the 550h+ would have it. Anyone have experience with the 350? Is is too underpowered to even consider?

If in your budget this is a 500 or 550 car to me. I had a 350 from Atlanta to Tampa and back and look it’s more than adequate, surprisingly so, but compared to the 500h it lacks and misses the rear steer which helps with handling, parking, u turns.

550h+ now that is has a sunroof would be my pick. With our driving we wouldn’t use the engine half the time, it is rare (cool to us) and feels quick as the 500 but smoother.

Production for the 550h+ is a small percentage and I assume that won’t change much. If you can’t find one I absolutely say get the 500h

If it's the same 2.5l hybrid setup from the NX and RX why not just name it 350h? Unless there's been an upgrade to the electric motor I don't see how that justifies the upbadging

Yeah, I’m not sure. There isn’t really any other option. The new RAV4 PHEV puts out 320hp, so maybe it will use the same battery and electric motors, minus the plug-in part? I dunno.
