I’ve also learned to lower my expectations for Lexus to avoid disappointment. I think the GX is a perfect example, I had no expectations for the new model, so when it was released, I was genuinely surprised by how successfully it was redesigned.

Anyway you cut it, this is a tremendous accomplishment and 1 million sales could happen in the next 5-10 years.

I believe this is very likely to happen. With Lexus set to begin production in China, it will for sure drive the brand’s global sales growth. Taking Audi as the closest example, the brand sold around 650k vehicles in China last year. However, if we exclude the Chinese market, Audi’s global sales are not significantly ahead of Lexus.
One Swedish luxury brand outsold all American, British, Italian, French luxury brands. The Scandinavian industrial design is more influential globally than many people think. It's such a big shame Saab was ruined beyond repair by GM.
