Acura has one of the worst lineups around. Slow, no power, terrible MPG, no tech.no Hybrids, no plug ins and a GM BEV. Nothing. And their prices are nuts. 2 sedans and now 3 crossovers.
Type S is the most youtuber and motor trend overhyped stuff on the planet. They can’t give them away.

When Acura debuted none of the hybrid options for neither new RDX, MDX and TLX I was like whaaaa .. and guess I was right from the get-go. How ignorant you have to be not to build up on Sport Hybrid SH-AWD from previous MDX and RLX. Unless Japan was involved somehow and told them they can't get the setup anymore. They completely misjudged the market by investing into oldschool petrolhead Type S trims. I'm glad they took Type S seriously this time but where were they ten, fifteen years ago? Now they will shut down Type S for the next models due to low sales. Book is writing itself and its predictable.
TLX Type S could have easily been a 2.0T with Sports Hybrid SH-AWD with over 370hp. Who knows what happened down the road.

I'm just stating it as a matter of fact, I haven't driven an Acura in years. I know my wife was very impressed with a TLX rental she drove a few years back, but I personally don't care for wrong wheel based cars.
That being said, most modern cars are already ridiculously porky, and then adding the whole hybrid crap adds hundreds of pounds in weight and extra complexity.
Regarding Acuras, the specs on most of them seems ok on paper, but pricing just does not align. Integra type S is 53k, for a souped up Civic, just lol.

The owner couldn’t have handled that any better. Tho I tire of every man complaining about everything online and not privately. Unfortunately that dealer was the opposite and could have handled things better. If you read to the end the second dealer he took the car too was much better to deal with.
The owner states the manual transmission was the main reason for buying the car. I just still think it’s insane to buy a 55k missing basic car features Civic.

He could have gotten an AWD WRX with manual.
Good ole dealership micromanaging things terribly and then covering with the ole "well thats normal, they all do that, or thats per factory spec nonsense."

Toyota highlander sunroof seal replaced by dealer, but did a half baked job and then claimed its normal.
On top of that mfgs dont really care to get involved unless they have a possible lemon law claim or the dealer actually caring. If you have a lemon law claim, dealers and mfgs will find ways around that as well. For example
2021 Lincoln dealer simply threw parts in with no diagnosis, mfg sincerely asked "before you lemon it, give us another try." Well that other try was just enough time for the mfg to run the clock out on state lemon law coverage.
@Gecko i think had a GX460 with some weld failure issue if I remember correctly that Lexus basically rewelded and said all is fine?

Unfortunately keeping things private, trying to genuinely keep a open line of communication and mind to resolve issues has led some in the car biz to basically to take of advantage of customers and really turning them into social media complainers. Its interesting as these events are not new. I do wonder how they handled the situation internally? Are they asking themselves what led to such an event (ie do they deal with a lot of customers who complain of actual nonissues to the point their service staff had begun using the everything is fine ignore customer line)? How will they in the future address customer issues like this, intake vehicle condition checklist or cctv?
Hopefully its not a pat on the back and keep it pushing those extra fuel system cleaners or let go of a scapegoat.

the modding community which is basically what drives alot of customers to honda, seems to love their products. Drop, led magic, and wheels etc
Personally its great too look at from the front, terrible in the rear, and interior is honda plus at best and the rear dimensions are head scratching.
Personally honda should give all internal programs to be vetted by the team that made the RDX.
