You mean Toyota wont confirm that the vehicle that just broiled itself wont be analyzed to see if in fact the vehicle was stock or not?
If there is a warranty claim, there will be an investigation but there will be no official comment about this particular incident.

Only if and when there are a bunch of similar incidents will Toyota comment about the situations, but never officially comment about one or another incident.

You said "we shall see what toyota has to say about this". That implies that Toyota will publicly comment on it. I don't think they will even if the car wasn't stock. There's no benefit to bring attention to it with a press release even if the owner or some act of god is at fault.

If we get some additional information on this, it will likely be from the owner.

The new Corolla is expected to be a more efficient and smarter car.

It will be equipped with Toyota's next-generation engine, which was unveiled at the Multi-Pathway Workshop held at the end of May 2024, and will be available as a 1.5L inline 4-cylinder HEV with a PHEV also available.

The engine is mounted lower, giving the car a sporty look.

Engine specs have not been announced, but the 1.5L NA is expected to produce 130ps/15.0kgm for the pure engine, around 100ps/13.0kgm for the HEV, and around 180ps/23.0kgm for the turbo.

I'm really excited about the new Corolla.

Now, is it saying that it will be offered in both the 1.5L NA and the 1.5L turbocharged variants?

I rented a Corolla Wagon Hybrid when I was in Norway. It was a great car. Decent amount of space and good fuel economy.

IMO, we will get a Camry style redesign for the next generation Corolla. The roof and pillars will stay the same (probably even the door skins) while the bumper covers, headlights, hood, etc will get redesigned.
