Nah we can **** on it all we want. Performance SUVs selling more than a compact sedan at 1/4 of the price is not a good look. And the vast majority of those M sales are crossovers so enough shitting on the IS even though it needs a redesign asap

There is no TTV8 Century, that's made-up bullshit from the same Australian outlet that claimed the "new LFA" would also have a V8 - it also makes no sense since all upcoming Century projects are seemingly still sitting on the same FWD platform as the SUV. And Toyota/Lexus have already went on record to confirm that the TTV8 in the GR GT is a one-off and will never be used in any other vehicle in the brand. To me the LX-F idea makes so much sense - if they're already building the twin-turbo V8 for the Century and have the platforms sorted, just drop it in the LX and GX and print money like Mercedes does with the G63.
TTV8 in the GR GT
He already has one and he's not sharing...I absolutely believe Akio Toyoda would want a version of the Century he can put his Morizo **** on.

Toyota president rolls in a one-off Century GRMN
We don't get it here in the States and that's a shame because the Toyota Century is one of the most magnificent vehicles produced by a Japanese automaker. It's no surprise then that Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda has picked one as his ride of choice. What is surprising is the fact that this Century is...www.motorauthority.com
Yes that's my point - Akio is not going to suddenly invest a ton of money into Century and have a car available to the public that is going to rival what he and his little yacht club have. We are all, at best, going to get more of the Century SUV in different body styles once Century does make it to Lexus showrooms like he wants. He absolutely is sharing.
There are AT LEAST 8-12 of those in existence.
I am *telling* you. He built them for himself and his buddies. He had to get board approval.
He alone has a black and a white pair.

His car or any equivalent will never, ever be available for the buying public.
I have a hard time believing the car he wants to drive is a crossover coupe EV...His message to his team for the new Century Coupe was "Build a Century *I* would want to drive", so they can bring it to market.

The GR GT is DOA at $200k, but they can actually sell a $200k LX-F. They already did that when the LX600 first launched. Dealerships charged huge markups and people actually paid close to $200k for the LX600. The G63 is $210k+ but usually with markups. The RR SV also starts at $210k. A LX-F at $200k would still be a steal. To me the LX-F idea makes so much sense - if they're already building the twin-turbo V8 for the Century and have the platforms sorted, just drop it in the LX and GX and print money like Mercedes does with the G63.
Among Lexus’s current lineup, the LX is the model that most deserves the new V8. This gen LX has already delivered strong numbers, clearly prove that the demand is there. The customer base exists, make the LX F starts from 180k I don’t think real buyer have problems with that and Lexus knows it. They could have done much more. Yet instead, they chose to chicken out.To me the LX-F idea makes so much sense - if they're already building the twin-turbo V8 for the Century and have the platforms sorted, just drop it in the LX and GX and print money like Mercedes does with the G63.
it's a raised coupe it's not a crossover and idk why you insist it's an EV when they are intending on installing an engine in itI have a hard time believing the car he wants to drive is a crossover coupe EV...
Says who? The concept has no exhaust pipes and is clearly sitting on top of a battery pack.it's a raised coupe it's not a crossover and idk why you insist it's an EV when they are intending on installing an engine in it
“We have not actually decided which kind of engine will be installed,” said Toyota powertrain president Takashi Uehara.
