TLX Type S priced bumped 2k but now we know why. Insane Integra pricing. Both super overpriced now. TLx no longer undercuts the IS 500. PMC editon price is crazy and the grey one is $67,000.

Read the comments and I read acurazine.. it’s wild that 355 peak hp is blowing transfer cases and transmissions left and right. I wonder if the mdx is next.

Just the load from overtaking at stock power level is already enough for the splines that transfer drive from the transmission to the transfer case to break. It's like, they did they skimp on the steel hardening process of these components, maybe like how they skimp on even the most basic level of rustproofing for the steel they use to build cars in Southeast and East Asia.

Looks like it's MDX, MDX Type-S, and TLX Type-S all blowing transfer cases and transmissions. Yikes.

IMO all these overly conservative and risk-averse models by Honda/Acura will only end up hurting themselves in the long term.

WTF they are going to use the RSX name on an electric crossover.

This car has only ONE thing going for and that's the road presence. They've nailed the FWD sedan design like champs, true japanese street fighter sedan looks. And that's about it.

Not offering any hybrid option was beyond dumb, even dumber was them not continuing with Sports Hybrid setup from RLX. Kudos to Acura USA for at least gettin Honda to give them unque powertrain but it turned out to be gimped piece. Interior was constrained in design and technology because Honda just doesn't have advanced stuff for driver and passenger tech in their parts bin. Acura can't pull off premium product no more. MDX is hanging in there by a chance and loyalty and it has exact same issues as TLX does, great sheet metal, stance and choice of wheels but that's about it.

For the life of me I cant understand how people call them an “engine company” and this is their best. Like this was their top motor. It was 45hp less than the Q50 which was like 5 years older. This MPG was poor. I will never understand how their new engine was just so behind the competition. Why even bother.

Giant exhaust pipes tho.

Tell me this doesn't look like five Honda engine guys being tasked a rushjob to get Acura their first bespoke flagship engine.
