More Local Market Lexus Models Planned

Lexus has plans to continue releasing vehicles for specific countries rather than focus purely on a global lineup — from a Motor Trend interview with Lexus International general manager Brian Bolain:

“One of our real pushes is the need to have more diversity of products and have more respect for the fact that some markets need some things that other markets don’t. As we move forward, there will be opportunities for us to satisfy North America, Europe, Asia independently as we spread our wings,” Bolain added.

This strategy has been with Lexus since the brand’s inception, when the first-generation ES sedan was sold in North American markets while the LS had a much wider release. More recently, we’ve seen the LM minivan only available in select Asian markets, the UX 300e EV limited to Eurasian sales, and perhaps the best example, the IS 500 sold only in the USA and Canada.

What new model would you like to see come to your country? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

This would make sense for that sub-UX crossover for example to be released in Europe and other countries where small crossovers are hugely popular

hopefully, local market includes the differences between east and west coast NA. West coast would love LMh and LXh and more BEV, PHEV and FCHEV.
